Formed in 2009, Raging Jupiter is a six piece acoustic pop/rock/folk band from the North East coast of England. Fronted by singer and actress, Madeleine (Leiney) Clark, the band consists of: Jonny Phage – Lead Guitar/Vocals, Devin Moore – Rhythm Guitar, Graeme Summersgill – Bass, Andi Grainger – Keys and Zol Fodor – Drums.

Currently putting the finishing touches to their self-financed debut album ‘Champagne Lifestyle, Lemonade Money’, due for release later this year. The Album has been recorded at Astar studio’s in Heywood and produced by Andy Ross. The band have already released their first single and video ‘Someone To Me’, which topped the FameTube charts for June 2012, and also gained 1000 views on YouTube in its first week. Not ones to rest on their laurels, the band is already looking ahead to their next venture, a UK tour. As they are well known on the local circuit, the band feels that the time is right to start travelling further afield to bring the energy and excitement of their live shows to a wider audience. They are currently in the process of finding/earning funding to support this tour.

Raging Jupiter thrives on taking an eclectic mix of musical styles to create their own unique sound. Their songs are usually written as a collaborative effort, with Jonny and Devin normally providing the initial melody, which the rest of the band then contributes to. As well as writing original material, they also cover songs by other artists, giving them their own twist (A process known as “Jupe’ing It Up“!)

Leiney also produces the music videos. The band likes to keep the same crew for their music videos – Director: Andy Mark Simpson (Young Hearts Run Free); DOP: Chris Tritshler; Editing: Fantomeline. The music video for the second single ‘Find You‘ is currently in post-production. It includes more mad dresses, which Leiney designs herself, and some beautiful locations showing off their native area.

The band plan to tour their first album and build on their fan base. They strive on giving their fans as much high quality work as they possibly can and are forever thankful to their amazing support system. Raging Jupiter are a family as much as they are a band, and it takes more than the 6 members to hold it all together and keep it going on their shoe string budget. Raging Jupiter has a 7^th member Brian Clark, Brian writes a lot of lyrics for the band including those for their upcoming single ‘Find You‘. He also helps structure songs and writes top line. Brian also operates sound at live gigs and provides transport. But above all of this, he is a much loved and valued member of the Raging Jupiter family.
